MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
INTAKE : 30 COURSE SYLLABUS: Three year diploma course with 2nd and 3rd years semester basis. Course content is covered as per SBTET Andhra Pradesh guidelines. Fifth semester students undergo industrial training for 6 months. Rules and regulations during course work are given in curriculum book which will be provided to students at the time of joining. Our labs
Fuels lab: In this lab we can determine properties like flash and fire points, viscosity, carbon content etc… of fuels, lubricants and oils which in turn useful in many applications like safe design and modeling of fuel and oil containers, predicting contamination of fuels, lubricants or oils, comparing quality with standard etc…
Basic workshop practice: It is essential for I year diploma students to undergo basic workshop training which includes Fitting shop, Forging shop, Carpentry shop and Sheet metal work. Student can get hands-on training from this lab how to use hand tools and measuring instruments needed to create job in safe and accurate manner. Development of dignity of labour, team working and right attitude are also objectives of this lab.
Workshop Practice-II: The objective of laboratory is to give knowledge and hands on training to students of II year diploma in Foundry, Machining and Welding shops. Gaining skills by students in these three manufacturing methods going to be very helpful to gain job opportunities in mass production facilities along with small and medium production facilities.
